Kirschhaus

In the name of the cherry

Simply beautiful – reduced to the maximum: An elongated, wooden structure. A longitudinal gable roof. A solid basement floor. The hillside property on the southern edge of a scenic village with 29 inhabitants in the south of Lower Austria. A place for the eternity in the name of cherries - an old cherry tree is the start of the garden and the namesake of this beautiful home.

Elongated beauty

How timelessly graceful is this simple design: A longitudinal structure with a saddle roof, at the heart of nature. With poetry of open hearts: Every door and every window, a new verse in the architectural poetry.

INSIDE THE BRIGHT ENTHUSIASM

The clever spaciousness of the windows and doors provides the interiors with a bright enthusiasm and in contrast with the dark outdoors. Variety is ensured by the never-ending play of light and shadows.

WASHING OFF IN AN INFINITY POOL

This house provides everyone with mountains, even when washing off in the smallest infinity pool in the world. Spruce forests In the foreground, in the background Schneeberg-Rax massif decorates the horizon with nature-shadows – panoramic view was invented for this spectacle.

The window is positioned over the entire length of the kitchen and at the height of the worktop and frames the view overlooking the mountains and forests like a painting on the wall.

Every opening in the structure is carefully positioned, such as the square niche under the cherry tree, which invites you to lean back, enjoy and take a deep breath. What is more worthwhile than these private moments?

Plan

Ground floor

The consistently designed, single-floor and two-hip arranged floor plan is traversed along an open gable in the central axis.

Northern view

Dignity continues to grow. The old cherry tree is the start of the garden, an ever friendly neighbour.

The design breathes the essence of an elongated structure with slanting roof. The deliberate positioning of the openings provides views overlooking the surrounding forests, mountain scenery and the cherry tree.
