What do windows really cost?

Window prices

Even if windows are the same size, their prices can vary significantly.
Material, glazing, design, features and installation effort all have a major influence on the overall cost. uPVC or uPVC/aluminium windows are already available at attractive prices (starting from a few hundred euros), while wood/aluminium or pure aluminium windows in their most exclusive versions are more costly to purchase.

Since Josko windows are tailored to your individual wishes and architectural requirements, we’re unable to provide exact prices without a prior consultation. However, we’d still like to offer you some guidance here.

Thanks to our broad product range and smart solutions, our Josko partners can make beautiful windows possible – for almost every budget.

Price ranges of our systems

The following graphics are designed to give you an initial overview of the price ranges of our window systems. The price of our best-selling wood/aluminium window system, Platin, represents 100%. The table shows how the prices of the other systems compare to this benchmark in percentage terms.

Each bar per system also illustrates how wide the price range can be depending on the chosen features – from the entry-level version to the highest equipment level.
Installation costs are not included in the indicated prices. However, since installation costs are similar across many systems, this can somewhat level out the price differences in the overall comparison.

A similar comparison for a lift-and-slide door measuring 4000 x 2400 mm already shows slightly different price ranges – due to varying frame dimensions, configurations and installation requirements.

Here too, our popular Platin Blue all-glass system serves as the reference point (100% value). Both graphics highlight just how much the finer details in design and execution can influence the overall price.

Good to know

uPVC windows – or the more advanced uPVC/aluminium versions with a protective aluminium shell on the outside – are generally the most budget-conscious systems.

Depending on whether a window features a traditional, classic look or a modern, slim and flush design, there can be slight price differences.

Wood/aluminium windows are highly sought after for their natural look and cosy feel. The use of sustainable solid wood and its complex processing understandably comes at a higher cost, putting these systems in a similar price range to uPVC/aluminium.
The choice of wood type and surface treatment significantly influences the price – beautiful spruce, for example, is noticeably more affordable than slow-growing oak.

Aluminium windows usually exceed the price range of wood/aluminium systems and, with elaborate design elements, can evolve into premium high-end solutions.
An exception: wood/aluminium windows made of particularly exclusive wood types with exceptional finishes, which can also fall into the price category of aluminium systems.

Smart saving with our Smart Mix

One look on the outside. Different materials inside – depending on your budget:
Our Smart Mix is a clever way to plan an individual solution. Josko gives you the option to combine different window and all-glass systems made from various materials within the same home. And yet, everything remains harmoniously coordinated with a consistent exterior appearance.

A practical example: In your living area, you opt for windows made of especially high-quality materials (wood/aluminium systems) that perfectly match your entrance and interior doors. In the bathroom or basement, on the other hand, you choose more cost-effective materials (uPVC/aluminium systems). Inside, you’ve combined materials in a budget-conscious way tailored to your needs – while the exterior look stays beautifully consistent.
